Fenugreek is generally called as fighter against diseases. It is used both as food and medicine. It is an ingredient often found in Indian home kitchens. Not only in India but all over the world.

Fenugreek spinach is very important food items. Its plant is a vegetable, and its seeds are a condiment. Its unique aroma and flavor make food delicious.

Let us explain here that fenugreek is not only for taste but also for health.

Fenugreek is rich in medicinal properties. It contains water, protein, fat and starch. It also contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium, potassium, thiamin, riboflavin, nicotinic acid, and vitamin A.

It can reduce body weight and it can be consumed as seeds, water soaked fenugreek or as a vegetable (leaves).

Medicinal Uses of Fenugreek:

Controls Diabetes: If people affected from diabetics eat soaked fenugreek seeds daily on an empty stomach, blood sugar levels will be under control.

Prevents stomach and gas problems: Eating soaked fenugreek improves your digestive system and provides great relief to the stomach. Fenugreek has cooling properties and it is the best remedy for stomach heat. Chewing two betel leaves well with a little fenugreek will cure stomachache and flatulence.

Strengthens the bones: Fenugreek is very beneficial for bone health. It is rich in calcium, which strengthens bones and provides relief from unnecessary joint pain.

Dissolves fat: Soaking fenugreek seeds in water and eating them in the morning on an empty stomach can significantly reduce your bad cholesterol. If you do this daily, the amount of good cholesterol will increase, and the bad cholesterol will decrease.

Prevents hair fall: Fenugreek should be soaked for the first night, grind it next morning to apply to the hair, leave it for half an hour and take a head bath. This will reduce dandruff and hair fall will stop and it grows thicker. The fenugreek oil gives hair growth and dark color hence it is used in the preparation of hair balms.

Cures skin infections: Cures itching of the skin due to bacterial infection and blisters and sores due to some insect bites. For this grind the dry fenugreek into powder and mix it with musk turmeric and wash both with a little water, apply it on the itchy sores and take bath after some time. Keep doing this and the disease will be cured.

Helps kidney operation: Kidneys are responsible for removing toxins from the blood. Drinking fenugreek-soaked water or fenugreek boiled water can prevent kidney stones. Urinary obstruction will be relieved, and urine will be relieved freely.

Prevents pimples and brightens skin: Fenugreek brightens the complexion. Fenugreek face packs remove blackheads, acne, wrinkles etc. on the face. Grind fenugreek and apply it on your face for half an hour to make your face glow.

Breast milk secretion: When new mothers have problems with breast milk secretion, they can consume fenugreek in two meals daily for better secretion of breast milk. Babies who drink that breast milk also develop immunity.

Helps in weight loss: Fenugreek is beneficial for those who want to lose weight. It improves metabolism. It helps in weight loss by suppressing appetite and increasing carbohydrate metabolism. Chewing some fenugreek and eating two small onions in buttermilk will reduce the weight of the obese body.

Prevents cancer: Many natural chemicals in fenugreek prevent cancer cells from forming.

- Soak fenugreek seeds and grind into paste and apply on the burn to heal this quickly.

- Increases immunity

- Fenugreek relieves chest irritation and indigestion.

- Grinding a piece of ginger with some fenugreek and eating it will remove bile.

- Constipation does not occur if fenugreek is added frequently.
