On a beautiful morning, Elder sister and her brother left with money from their father to go buy vegetables, groceries and snacks.

Both Sister and Brother talked well and reached the big supermarket. The notice board placed there stated that “Fixed price, no bargain”. The sister who noticed it, showed it to her brother and said we don’t need to bargain and claiming that prices are all right. They bought everything, paid for it, and then went to the dessert shop.

It was also mentioned as Fixed Price in sweet shops. They bought the snacks too. Finally they came to the vegetable market to buy vegetables. The vegetables were all fresh. Direct market where farmers come and sell.

Both of them went to an old lady’s vegetable shop. They selected the vegetables they needed and asked the price for it. Grandma said the total is Rs.215, you give Rs.200. Immediately the sister mentioned a very high price and negotiated to pay a price of Rs.150.

Younger brother was shock. Don’t say that sister, sister respond to her brother saying that, you relax, you do not say anything . She negotiated with grandmother and finally bought vegetables for 175 rupees.

Brother, ask Grandma why you reduced the price? Grandma replied that do not disappoint you small children. She said that I have reduced this 40 rupees to make you happy. Younger brother thanked grandma and left the shop.

On the way home, the sister was proud to say that her biggest savings came from her bargaining power. The brother who wanted to answer it. Sister, your bargaining power is only with small shop and poor grandma. Why don’t you take it to the sweet shop, the supermarket. You didn’t ask them anything.

Yes, they mentioned that fixed price, no bargain. Sister its not like that. They do not see you as big or small children. Their purpose is purely business.

The grocery store grandmother was not like that, she sold the product to us with a smile with humanity, not looking for profit as we little ones go happy.

Really! I do not know.

Sister, not only you but many others are bargaining very long for a small amount, when buying goods from roadside shopkeepers, farmers. With its bargaining consider the achievement and the savings made. Buy at a higher price without saying anything from big dealers, merchants. What is real savings? Do not bargain with a small business people. We will buy without bargaining and encourage them.

All right, brother, let’s make this clear to all of us. Henceforth, do not bargain with them.

Morale of the story:

Please do not bargain with small traders and farmers. Buy something from them. Their delight will keep you alive. Their stomachs fill up.

Do not bargain with the fallen and the weak people!

We will keep the working class and the former alive.
